Service · Erchonia Cold Laser · Buford GA
Erchonia low-level laser therapy supports tissue recovery without heat or surgery. Best fits: plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, tendinopathy, and stubborn soft-tissue cases that haven't resolved with manual therapy alone.
Erchonia is a brand of FDA-cleared low-level laser therapy. The laser uses low-power light at specific wavelengths to support cellular metabolism and reduce soft-tissue inflammation. It does not produce heat. It does not cut tissue. The patient feels nothing during application.
Sessions run 5 to 10 minutes per area. Most courses run 6 to 12 sessions over 3 to 6 weeks.
Best fit cases
/01 Foot
Especially in cases that haven't resolved with calf and foot intrinsic work alone. Often added at week 3 to 4 of a stalled rehab program.
/02 Elbow
Tennis elbow, pickleball elbow, golfer's elbow. Combined with manual therapy and a load-management program.
/03 Tendon
Tendinopathy that hasn't responded to manual therapy and progressive loading alone. Laser supports the slow tendon-healing timeline.
/04 Chronic
Chronic neck and shoulder issues, scar tissue from old injuries, and cases that have plateaued in PT or rehab.
How a session runs
/01 Position
You sit or lie comfortably with the affected area exposed. The laser unit is positioned over the targeted tissue. No skin prep needed.
/02 Application
5 to 10 minutes of laser application per area. You feel nothing. Most patients spend the time looking at their phone.
/03 Continue
Laser is almost always paired with manual therapy and a home program. The combination is what produces results, not the laser alone.
FAQ
What is Erchonia low-level laser therapy?
Erchonia is a brand of FDA-cleared low-level laser therapy (LLLT), also called cold laser or photobiomodulation. It uses low-power laser light at specific wavelengths to support cellular metabolism and reduce inflammation in soft tissue. It does not produce heat, does not cut tissue, and is not the same thing as a surgical or hot laser.
Does it hurt?
No. Most patients feel nothing during application. The laser does not produce heat. Sessions are 5 to 10 minutes per area treated.
What does it actually treat?
In our practice we use Erchonia for plantar fasciitis, tendinopathy, lateral epicondylitis, chronic neck and shoulder pain, and stubborn soft-tissue inflammation that hasn't resolved with manual therapy alone. It works best as part of a combination protocol with soft-tissue work and rehab.
How many sessions?
Most courses run 6 to 12 sessions over 3 to 6 weeks. Acute cases sometimes resolve faster. Chronic cases sometimes need a longer course.
Is it FDA-cleared?
Yes. Erchonia holds multiple FDA 510(k) clearances for specific clinical applications. It's used in clinical trials, professional sports medicine, and private chiropractic practice.
